Iran will start producing gas from the Phase 12 of the large South Pars gas field in November 2013. The development of the phase is 92.6% complete and sour gas is about to be delivered to the gas processing plant. Gas production at platform A should start at the pace of 500 mcf/d (14.1 mcm/d, or 5.15 bcm/year). When platforms B and C become operational, gas production at South Pars-12 will reach 70 mcm/d (25.6 bcm/year). It should progressively increase to 75 mcm/d (27.4 bcm/year), with 1/3 of the gas injected in the national gas network and 2/3 delivered to a proposed LNG plant. In addition, South Pars-12 is expected to produce 120,000 bbl/d of gas condensate and 750 t/d (274 kt/year) of sulfur.
