12 August 2013 - Gujarat State Petroleum Corp (GSPC) has invited expression of interest for a 25% interest in a 5 Mt/year (6.75 bcm/year) LNG terminal project being planned at Mundra in Gujarat (India). The regasification project is developed by GSPC with a 50% stake and Adani with 25%, which are looking for a third investor in the Rs 5,200 crore project (US$860m).

Eight companies, including BP - Reliance Industries, Indian Oil Corp (IOC), Oil and Natural Gas Corp (ONGC) and GAIL, have expressed interest. The LNG terminal is expected to be commissioned in early 2016. It could be later expanded to 10 Mt/year (13.5 bcm/year).
