[에너지신문] Spanish energy group Gas Natural Fenosa is seeking €400m from the Spanish government in compensation for having distorted the electricity market by offering financial incentives to renewable power plants in a context of declining electricity demand.
According to the group, which operates 7 GW of CCGT power plants and only 1.1 GW of renewable and CHP capacity in Spain (2015), renewable incentives led to an exclusion of gas-fired generation: Gas Natural Fenosa's gas-fired generation fell from 26 TWh in 2009 to 14.1 TWh in 2014 (14.5 TWh in 2015).
