[에너지신문] 20 May 2016 - Recent attacks on oil infrastructures in the Niger Delta have damaged oil pipelines supplying three of the four refineries operating in Nigeria and temporarily suspended oil processing in these refineries.
Militant attacks have hurt the Okan platform delivering offshore oil to the Escravos terminal in southern Nigeria, a crude oil pipeline supplying the Warri refinery and a gas pipeline owned by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC). In addition, Eni's Agip gas pipeline in the Southern Ijaw area of Bayelsa state was bombed, resulting in a 1,000 boe/d cut in production; a crude pipeline transporting oil to Shell's Forcados export terminal was vandalised in March 2016.

These attacks have resulted in a nearly 40% cut in oil production, from 2.2 mb/d to 1.4 mb/d, and affected supply to power plants
