[에너지신문] 20 January 2016 - According to statistics released by the Chilean energy regulator Comision Nacional de Energia (CNE), the renewable power capacity in Chile reached 2,632 MW (2,284 MW operational and 348 MW under test) at the end of 2015, including 904 MW of wind capacity, 848 MW of solar PV capacity, 417 MW of biomass and mini-hydro (each) and 46 MW of biogas.

In addition, 2,815 MW of renewable capacities were under construction, mainly from solar PV (2,195 MW), wind (409 MW) and solar CSP (110 MW). An extra 18,065 MW is approved (10,596 MW of solar PV, 5,850 MW of wind and 980 MW of solar CSP), while 5,814 MW are under approval process.
