[에너지신문] 13 November 2015 - The Federal Commission of Electricity of Mexico (CFE) has selected the Canadian energy infrastructure group TransCanada to build a 283-km long gas pipeline between Tuxpan and Tula in the centre and west of Mexico. The gas pipeline will have a capacity of 886 mcf/d (25 mcm/d or 9.1 bcm/year) and will cross the states of Veracruz, Puebla and Hidalgo, connecting with the Sur de Texas - Tuxpan y Tula – Villa de Reyes gas pipelines, which are also in tender process. Commissioning is expected in December 2017.

TransCanada, which offered to build the project through its subsidiary Transportadora de Gas Natural de la Huasteca for US$297m (33% below CFE's expectations), won the construction contract. Enagas and Sacyr had also submitted bids for the project.
