[에너지신문] 10 November 2015 - The Alaska House of Representatives (United States) has approved the acquisition by Alaska Gasline Development Corp. of a 10% stake in the Alaska LNG project from Canadian energy infrastructure group TransCanada for US$68m. The company will take over Alaska's interest in the 800-mile (1,290-km) gas transmission pipeline from the Prudhoe Bay to Nikiski supplying gas to the LNG plant and in the gas treatment plant. Alaska Gasline Development Corp. plans to invest a further US$89m in the LNG project.
The Alaska LNG project is developed by ConocoPhilips (70%), BP (15%), TransCanada (10% sold to the State of Alaska) and ExxonMobil (5%) and would consist of three liquefaction trains with a combined capacity of 20 Mt/year each. The plant would be located at Nikiski on the Kenai Peninsula.
