[에너지신문] 10 November 2015 - Mexico's state-owned power utility, Comision Federal de Electricidad (CFE) has declared void the tender for the construction of Topolobampo III, a proposed 666 MW gas-fired CCGT power project in Ahome (Sinaloa), that was expected to be commissioned in 2018. The project involved the development of facilities, design, construction, testing and commissioning and operation and maintenance of the plant.

CFE has received eight bids for the project, which all met the technical requirements of the tender and submitted a price below the maximum budgeted by the CFE. However, the bidding process was declared void because the maximum annual flow capacity charges offered by the bidders were above the limit CFE budgeted for the project (US$71-249m per year between 2018 and 2043).
