[에너지신문] 13 May 2014 -EDF Energies Nouvelles has commissioned the 150 MW Geycek wind park in central Anatolia. The project was developed by EDF Energies Nouvelles’ Turkish subsidiary, Polat Enerji (45% owned by EDF). Over the past seven years, Polat Enerji has built eight wind farms in Turkey, four of which were commissioned in 2013: the extension to the Sayalar wind farm (20 MW), the wind farms at Poyraz (54.9 MW), Samurlu (30 MW) and Kozbeyli (32.2 MW). EDF now operates 506 MW of wind plants in the country.

With some of the best wind regimes in Europe, the Turkish government has set a target of 20,000 MW of wind powered generating capacity by 2023.
